Practical information

Transportation:

Getting from Arlanda airport to Västerås we recommend using www.vybuss.com (also called Bus4You). From terminal 4 it departs from Stop 9 and from terminal 2 it’s Stop 10) It departs from the terminal and arrives about 200 m from the welcome meeting

Getting from Stockholm city to Västerås we recommend taking the train. It departs every hour and you can find tickets on www.sj.se. It also arrives about 200 m from the welcome meeting

You can use the same methods of transportation back to Arlanda / Stockholm

Meet and greet:

The welcome meeting will be near Västerås central station, a place called “Intiman” (https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZDn2qXen3Lp8NsyJ7)

When you are in the central station, head up to the bridge over the tracks and look for the exit marked “Utgång Sigurdsgatan”.

Follow Google maps and look for RT signs! The place is open 12:30 to 16:00. Drinks and something small to chew on will be available but make sure you had lunch before.

Home hosting:

Your home host will reach out to you at least a week before the event. Everyone will be home hosted

Clothing:

The welcome party on the Friday will be in a rural setting and pretty large parts of the Saturday activity will be outdoors. We recommend you bring shoes to fit the activities (and weather). Also, Sweden is a bit cold in the evenings so make sure you bring an extra sweater.

The gala dinner will be black-tie in a proper ballroom setting. The fancier the shoes, the better it is 😉

Mens meeting:

The mens meeting will be held in the same location as the gala dinner with proper equipment for conducting the meeting including a projector.

The ladies will have an alternative activity with Ladies circle.

The plan is to finish the meeting by 14:00

Alcohol:

In Västerås city center it’s not allowed to drink alcohol in the streets, if the police see you, they will pour it out and let you hear it…

Also, we will keep you ” well hydrated” but if you for some reason buy alcohol in a restaurant you are NOT allowed to take it outside. Also, you can NOT bring your own alcohol to a restaurant / bar. They will lose their license and you will get kicked out.

Cash/Card:

During the Euromeeting everything is included but if you want to buy anything, Sweden is a cashless society. Don’t bother bringing any cash. Mastercard and Visa is accepted everywhere.

Swimming gear:

There will be opportunity for some swimming, bring you swimming gear! However, it might be a bit cold!
